Private school proprietors in Oyo State, under the auspices of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), yesterday, condemned the school resumption calendar released by the Oyo State Government for the 2020/2021 academic session. The state government had on Monday announced September 21, 2020 as the beginning of the 2020/2021 academic session for primary and secondary schools in the state. We were not allowed to finish the third term but asked to rush to a new session. At the same time, they will be doing the same WestAfrican Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) or National Examinations Council (NECO) and when other children are learning, our own students in Oyo State will be eating at home. For us, there is no point rushing to start a new session without finishing the third term of the previous session.
